Lesson From A Bird (Con't)

What is the first thought you have when you read the article,Lesson From A Bird ? The bird(Jovan) might already died? The bird cannot survive without the food prepared by us? Or the bird already fly the highest it can, fly freely and see the different, but beautiful world since then.

The bird has the same fear you have when you are facing uncertainties. For the first few times, it stood at the window, keep chirping and waited for us to catch it back into the cage even though it already escaped from the unlatched door successfully. That was the day, when it made the final decision to fly away, it did not chirp anymore, it tried to fly for the first time, and this time, it started to feel the lovely sky, a big "cage" without boundaries.

Limiting believes are those thoughts that stop us from risking ourselves. I might not be able to do it; I am not capable; I scared if someone else see me in this way; My parents won't be happy if I do so; Everyone said this is not a good choice.

Risking is not doing something without thinking. Risking, is an act to manage the uncertainties, set the price to pay, for which you think is manageable, and "ACT ON IT".

Good luck pals, we won't know what will happen in future if we try, and risk. However, there is only one definite ending we will have if we do not try, the who you are today, with an aging body.

A man is not old until his regrets take the place of his dreams.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lesson From A Bird

This is a true story

When you want to describe a stupid person, you call him/her 'the bird's brain'. This is how we perceive the birds as the stupid animal. The reason is simply because their brain is very small. However, this idiom does not apply on this yellow bird(refer to the bird in the picture below). Yet, its story will blow your mind.
Yellow bird, Jovan(小黄鸟,佐温)
This bird is called Jovan. It was bought over in 6 months ago. Being locked in the cage, served food and water every day without starvation, for a normal bird, it would be an ideal life. However, for this bird, this was not what it was looking forward. Adventurous life, to it, it matters little. Its objective was to have its control in its own life.

Then, it had a plan, a plan to escape from the cage. It noticed that the food and water were served through the two unlatched doors (note the red circle in the picture below). It knew, it had to grab the chance.
Empty cage(鸟去笼空)
Since that time, it practised extremely hard to use its head to lift up the unlatched door. Day by day, after thousand times, it was unable to escape as after the door was lifted up, it fell down. Now, it got two choices: to scrap the plan or to give up the freedom for life. Without compromise, it stuck to its aim. Month by month, he kept on practising. Now, it added an extra step. After lifting up the door, it stretched out its right wing a bit, to prevent the door from falling down again.
Guess what? After practising this act thousand times, it finally won its goal. It managed to get out from the cage! Now it should be celebrating and sharing its success with other birds.
Isn't it amazing? A creature that all along we regarded as 'stupid' now can perform something that beyond our expectation.
The same theory applies in learning (any subject). The only little difference here is: we are human, that creature is merely a bird. If a little bird can also achieve its goal by continuous practice and determination, so can we. What do you think?

Hangman (Vocabulary)

Hi all, did you have fun during the class today?I am pretty sure everyone of us like one of the game we introduced today, "Hangman".

The simple rule of this game is, select any alphabet from A-Z, if any of the alphabet exists in the word (puzzle), u can continue to choose another alphabet and try to complete the word. If the alphabet not exists, a stroke of a stickman will be drawn. There are total of 6 chances to complete the word, if a word cannot be completed in 6 attempts, a "man" will be hanged, and therefore no point scored.

This is a good game to learn new vocabulary. You may choose the context of the vocabulary before playing the game. Below are some sites for online hangman in the context stated. Have fun learning English!!!

Basic Candlestick (基本K线图)

Basic Knowledge of FOREX

Foreign Exchange

Foreign exchange trading is the simultaneous buying of one currency and selling of another. The foreign exchange market (Forex or FX) is the largest financial market in the world with a daily turnover of over US$1.9 trillion. Examples of currency trading pairs are Euro/US Dollar (EUR/USD) and US Dollar/Japanese Yen (USD/JPY). Most currency transactions involve the "Majors" - US Dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Swiss Franc.

Unlike other financial markets, the foreign exchange market has no physical location and no central exchange. The Forex market operates 24 hours a day through an electronic network of banks, corporations and individual traders. Forex trading begins every day in Sydney, then moves to Tokyo, followed by London and then New York. The major market makers, or dealers, consist of the commercial and investment banks, the exchange traded futures, and registered futures commission merchants such as FX Solutions.

FOREX Prices

FOREX markets and prices are mainly influenced by international trade flows and investment flows. The FX markets are also influenced, but to a lesser extent, by the same factors that influence the equity and bond markets: economic and political conditions especially interest rates, inflation, and political instability. Those factors usually have only a short-term impact, which makes Forex attractive as it offers some of the diversification necessary to protect against adverse movements in the equity and bond markets.

Foreign Exchange prices, or quotes, include a "Bid" and "Ask" similar to other financial products:

Bid: Price at which Dealer is willing to Buy and Traders can Sell Currency

Ask: Price at which Dealer will Sell and Traders can Buy Currency

The difference between the Bid and Ask is called the "Spread", which is the Trader's cost of the transaction. FX Solutions offers Traders the narrowest spreads in the retail Forex industry, thereby lowering transaction costs. For more information on the Spreads offered by FX Solutions click here.

Currencies are usually quoted to four decimal places, such as the Euro/US Dollar trading at 1.2400/1.2403, with the last decimal place referred to as a point or "pip" (percentage in point). A pip for most currencies is 0.0001 of an exchange rate; the one exception is the USD/JPY quote in which each pip is equal to 0.01.

Analysis of FOREX Markets

Foreign exchange traders base their decisions on either technical analysis and fundamental analysis. Technical traders use charts, trend lines, support and resistance levels, mathematical models and other means to identify opportunities and drive trading decisions. Fundamental traders identify trading opportunities by analyzing economic information.
